Following on from our launch speaker series, Same Room Meetups are all about building our content community. Because we believe that by sharing our knowledge, we can move the whole industry forward.
By putting yourself in the same room with your peers and some of content marketing’s most inspirational thinkers and creators, you’ll be inspired and connected.
Watch this space for specific meetups in your area, or get in touch if you are keen to host one.
Your next level awaits.
What if you could deliver marketing that was heaps of fun to make, that customers loved and that brought tonnes of revenue back to the business?
This is how we see content marketing done well.
Great content marketing does not have a finish line, but taking the first step is still the most important part. The Content NZ training approach is all about continuous innovation - doing, learning and then doing more. Wherever you are, there’s something to learn.
Over the next 18 months, we’ll deliver a series of workshops that together will form a complete picture of the six parts of a healthy content marketing programme.
You'll have time in-between each workshop to embed each of these ideas strongly into your practice.
Each workshop will kick off with an inspirational speaker - a great mind of content marketing - who will inspire you with what’s possible and walk you through some specific case studies.
Then you’ll get your hands dirty as we walk you through the steps to make this learning real.

First Half: Inspiration
Simon Morton is a seasoned storytelling and a longtime RNZ producer and presenter.
Simon founded the award winning consumer science show This Way Up in 2006. He’s a regular contributor to BBC Digital Planet and Health Check radio shows and has presented and co-produced TV shows including Why We Buy, Along for the Ride (TVNZ One), Use As Directed (TVNZ 6/7) and Forensics NZ (Prime).
Join Simon and Content NZ Chair Kris Herbert for a conversation about participatory storytelling and the importance of intent when telling a good tale.
Simon will also share his insights on what makes a good story and how to craft one. He’ll share examples from his many years producing content for BBC and RNZ and we’ll look at how these principles of media storytelling can cross over to brands.
Second Half: Action
After Simon sets the stage for what’s possible, you’ll get your hands dirty as we walk you through the steps to make this learning real. You’ll learn methods for discovering your purpose and using that to craft a meaningful brand story. This is the crucial first step towards effective content marketing.
