Speaker Series

We live online and there’s plenty of inspiration to be found there, but there’s nothing like being in the same room as people who are doing good work and have interesting stories to tell. ‘Same Room’ is Content NZ’s new speaker series aimed at putting you – you guessed it – in the same room as some of content marketing’s most inspirational thinkers and creators IRL (in real life) and, of course, your industry peers, so you can bond over a beer.

Join us for after-work drinks. Non-members welcome.

Anna Dean answered a haiku competition to find the right person to promote Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement's vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows. While she can't remember the haiku she submitted she can remember Jemaine outlining the work involved, which included managing the social channels: "Don't be nervous, but know if you're not funny, we'll delete you." With that directive in mind he managed to make the city hum, garnering international attention for a film campaign over an extended six week period. She says it was her first real experience of putting cross platform content marketing in action and she's keen to share some tips and tricks that may help get your head around what this approach really means.

Anna Dean is a founder and co-director of Double Denim - a strategic consultancy which specialises in gender intelligence.
